Sehwag sizzles with a double century
As expected India’s score on second day of the second test match with Sri Lanka is dominated by Sehwag. There are only three batsmen who reached double-digit. The fourth one which could reach double-digit is extras. Again it is Laxman in the middle order who provided some resistance with his double-digit score of 39. Sehwag is not out on 201 off 231 balls while India is all out for 329. Sehwag scored 60% of the India’s total.
Later Indian bowler Zaheer Khan scalped an early wicket of Vandort. But Warnapura and Sangakkara scored freely and made half centuries each before both fell pray to Harbhajan Singh. Later Mahela Jayawardene steadied the ship with a good 46 not out.
All in all, the second day is a mixture of India’s and Sri Lanka’s domination in patches. Now the match is evenly poised.
